Background & Experience
Originally joining Norris, Beggs & Simpson Companies in 2014, Heather transitioned to the Portland Loan Origination team as a Financial Analyst in 2018. In this role, she works closely with other members of her Loan Origination team to secure capital to satisfy clients’ needs through exclusive relationships with life insurance companies, conduits, REITs and pension funds, facilitating the underwriting process on multi-million dollar loans for office, retail, industrial, and multi-family commercial real estate.
Heather serves clients by analyzing financial data in all stages of the loan process. She is responsible for researching property and tenant history, and performing market analysis to assemble preliminary packages for lenders. She also underwrites, reviews, and analyzes potential commercial mortgage loans utilizing knowledge of the Portland real estate market, valuation techniques, appraisals, and credit and financial analysis techniques.
Her previous experience as a Loan Closer/Administrator with NBS Financial, gives her invaluable insight on the closing process. Heather’s experience assisting Lenders, Borrowers and Legal Counsel with all aspects of the closing process establishes her as an asset to the Loan Origination team with this unique skill set. Heather successfully closed a variety of real estate transactions with various lending sources funding over $450 million.
Prior to NBS Financial, Heather was a valuable member of another division of Norris, Beggs & Simpson Companies, NBS Financial’ s parent company. Heather garnered tremendous experience within the commercial real estate industry as a Property Manager Assistant where she managed the daily needs of multiple Property Managers with their subsequent portfolios of office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties.
Heather earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oregon.
